I think that solar power is a very efficient form of renewable energy. However, are there any by-products from solar power?
I can’t think of any.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

The process of solar cells can involve the use of toxic chemicals and the use of clean rooms and labour extensive process.

However one processed there are no by products however there is an small upkeep in maintaining it to get full efficiently.

Solar cells do have there limits. The highest energy coniverson for a solar cell is about 48% under lab conditions. However his will not be the same in the real world, as the year is made up of equal parts of day and night. With this in mind the energy that the cell would capture in a year from the sun is 24%. Then on top of that you have to account for the days it is over clouded, other factors that will effect the solar are the cleanness of its surface, the more dirty it is the less energy it can absorb from the sun, also the angle at which the sunlight strikes the cell will effect the %. But with all this in mind solar energy is worthwhile.

Solar energy is used for two types of devices: thermal, and photovoltaic. For your water heater, you are talking thermal. Put tubing into a black box with a clear cover, put the box in sunlight, and you have a solar water heater — details vary, but they don’t matter much. Photovoltaic use silicon cells (usually called solar cells, or solar panels) to generate electricity. Solar-cell powered garden lights, where the light is a light-emitting diode, are becoming popular and inexpensive. The solar cells charge a nickel-cadmium battery during the day, and the battery powers the lamp at night.

You can’t solar arrays require expensive machines and special chemicals to manufacturer.

Electric motors also are difficult to manufacturer.

But you can buy these fairly cheaply, if your scale is small.

If you intend to make it drivable on the highway, then this is a major project.

well, look for a couple of sticks, then, either use clay or if u have a type of foam or cottonball or something like that label them with planet names and use some glue of course to stick it together. THere u have it but if u want to win first prize then shop at michael’s.

what waste products does solar energy have

If you are asking at the source i.e., at the sun, it would be helium and other larger molecules which are formed from the progressive nuclear fusion of smaller atoms staring with Hydrogen atoms as the raw material. But I really doubt if they can be called "waste" as traditionally "waste" is something "undesirable" created by a man-made process – the fusion happening in the Sun is not a man-made process, neither can we term the fusion products as "undesirable" from human perspective.
If you are talking of waste products generated by "using" solar energy on the earth, well there are literally none during the usage of solar energy. However, the wastes generated during manufacture of the solar cells/panels and their support apparatus like circuit boards/batteries/invertors and during their maintenance are indirectly wastes generated by using solar energy. Also, the gases/radiation expelled by the solar cells/panels and the support apparatus during their life-time can be termed as "wastes" as well.
